The company’s shares were last trading at $0.033, up 10% intraday. The company has replicated the core mobile user experience for both voice and messaging with purely OTT (over-the-top) apps on a mobile handset using a second carrier-independent mobile number. The additional mobile identity will be used by Norwood’s World Phone app for inbound and outbound calling and by World Message app for inbound and outbound messaging.
The company’s shares were last trading at $0.026, up 24% intraday. World Phone 2.0 for iPhone and iPads include a number of new features that makes its services virtually seamless compared to cellular calling. Users can now toggle between World Phone and cellular calls, with incoming World Phone calls being delivered to the handset even if the app is not running. Moreover, incoming World Phone calls are displayed with the traditional telephony UI experience including a full screen incoming call alert.

Norwood Systems Ltd (ASX:NOR), a mobility and roaming solutions provider for international business travellers, has released additional enhancements to the company’s over-the-top (OTT) telephony App, ‘World Phone’. The new upgraded features include free app-to-app calling and premium features offered as part of Norwood’s monetisation strategy. The monetisation strategies have supported the growth of cumulative revenue from the app, which has increased 16% to US$485,000 in March.
