Feature Request: SMS/TEXT EMAIL ALERT
2018-03-12 - by Alien - 58 views
If you make 2 minor changes to your Email Alert Template, you will afford Fintel users with an already built-in SMS/TEXT Email Fintel Alert Option. ....... Change 1: Delete this text in your Email Alert Template: "Actionable emails e.g. reset password" ....... Change 2: Revise your Email Alert Template of your Subject Line to ONLY Include: ("TICKER" Alert) as to you have the same/duplicate info repeated in the body of the email and this text is not needed twice. .......
Making these 2 Changes, would free up the limited text/sms character count and afford Fintel users with an already built-in SMS/TEXT Email Fintel Alert Option where they would recieve all of the necessary information in the text that they recieve. The text they would recieve if you make 2 changes would look like this: ....... (RVLT Alert) Insider LAPENTA ROBERT V reports buying 25,000 shares of $RVLT at $3.48 for a total cost of $87,000.00 .......
Presently the text recieved looks like this: ....... (LAPENTA ROBERT V has reported an insider trade in RVLT) Actionable emails e.g. reset password Insider LAPENTA ROBERT V reports buying 25,000 shares of $RVLT at $3 .......
Please consider making these 2 Changes.

Thanks for submitting these observations and ideas on how to improve the alerts. I have made a few changes that should help - specifically, I was able to remove the "Actionable emails e.g. reset password" text from the alerts which should make them more readable. I am a bit hesitant to reduce the subject line down to just "TICKER Alert" for all alerts since having a bit of info in the subject is helpful to people who use regular email. However, I have trimmed some of the subjects down. You should start seeing modified alerts on Monday when filings resume. Please let me know how they look.
